Our Mission

At Thornfield Hall, our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn, grow, and thrive. We offer programs that build skills, confidence, and community, from farm training and quilting to cooking and job experiences. Guided by our belief that when you have more than you need, you build a longer table, we are committed to providing opportunities, joy, and connection for every guest who walks through our doors.

Our Programs

Sewing, & Crafts

Quilting sessions for individuals with disabilities & volunteers.

Culinary

Learn food service skills, including teamwork and customer service.

Farm Activities

Gain hands-on farm experience, include parties & social gatherings

Residential Placements Through DDS

Thornfield Hall is first and foremost a small, family-run residential facility licensed by the Connecticut Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS).

Music and Other Social Groups

There are several activities to participate in: 1. Music-a fun-filled evening of singing, Karaoke , dancing and laughter. Other social activities at other times involve 2. Bingo and 3. Puzzles.
