Real-World Skills in a Fun, Supportive Setting

At Thornfield Hall, our The Good Dog Job Training Program offers IDD participants a chance to learn job skills in a real-world food service environment, which includes cooking & baking. It’s hands-on, confidence-building. This program is more than selling hot dogs. It’s about learning responsibility, teamwork, and communication in a public setting — all at a pace that meets each person’s abilities. The Good Dog is located on the River Trail in Putnam and is a very popular destination.

“Good Dog” is located on the River Trail in Putnam at Simonzi Park. It’s open to everyone, but please speak with us beforehand to arrange participation.
